Crochet Circle

Led by Dwayne Lawson-Brown, known as the Crochet Kingpin, this hands-on Crochet Circle at Phillips@THEARC invites participants of all ages and skill levels to connect art and conversation. Inspired by the work of Sam Gilliam, whose piece *Sierra* from The Phillips Collection serves as a creative touchstone, the June and July sessions also offer a unique opportunity to see Dwayne’s own work in progress, developed in response to Gilliam’s art. Beginners can receive basic crochet instruction, while advanced participants are encouraged to bring their own fiber arts projects. Yarn, crochet hooks, and refreshments are provided.
