Rhizome Writers' Retreat
The Rhizome Writers' Retreat offers a focused one-and-a-half-day escape for up to eight writers, held Saturday and Sunday at the intimate Rhizome DC space. Designed to eliminate distractions, the retreat provides each participant with their own table and room (shared but not cramped), along with coffee, tea, snacks, and a vegetarian lunch both days. Participants can choose to fully immerse in quiet writing, with optional supportive sharing and strategizing sessions available if desired. The retreat aims to help writers at any stage—starting, in progress, or finishing—by carving out dedicated, uninterrupted time in an inspiring old house with big windows, beautiful art, and outdoor tables when weather permits. Phones are collected to ensure focus, and Wi‑Fi is intentionally not provided to reduce temptation.
