Donna M. Butts, former longtime executive director of Generations United, presents her new book *Grandfamilies: Stories of Children and the Loving Relatives Who Raise Them*, a deeply researched account of the more than 2.4 million US children being raised by grandparents or other relatives when parents cannot care for them. Through vivid personal narratives, Butts explores the invisible struggles these caregivers face—endless waiting rooms, financial sacrifice, and health tolls—alongside the policy battles and community efforts to win recognition and resources for grandfamilies.
