XXII Fuego Flamenco Festival: La velada
La velada is a DC-premiere flamenco performance presented by Spain Flamenco Arts as part of GALA Hispanic Theatre’s 22nd Annual Flamenco Festival. Directed, choreographed, and performed by Marta Gálvez, the work brings together flamenco tradition and a contemporary perspective, reflecting on the memory, artistic legacy, and love of those who danced before. The performance treats dance as a meeting place between past and present, where inherited experience is transformed through the body and each gesture.
Gálvez performs with guitarist David Durán, singer Rosa Linero, and percussionist Luis Dorado.
