Miscast: Nowhere To Wear
Miscast: Nowhere To Wear is a self-expression-focused dance party from miscast, a collective built around unconventional sounds and dance-oriented grooves. The music may move through techno, electronic, ghetto tech, club, UK garage, and hardgroove, but the event is not restricted to a single genre. DJs serve as the medium for a ritual-like experience centered on movement, freedom, and groove rather than individual performers.
The party invites guests to dress as whoever they are or whoever they want to be, without worrying about conventional dress codes or fitting a particular atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to wear something they would not normally wear to an event, whether that means formalwear, cosplay, a themed costume, medieval armor, a trash-bag outfit, clown attire, or anything else. Clothing donations will also be collected for people in need, so attendees are encouraged to bring garments they would like to give a second life.
