Will Varley

Will Varley performs with Beans on Toast at Jammin Java. The concert is part of the Jammin Java/Union Stage Presents 25th anniversary series, which celebrates the venue group’s 25 years and includes commemorative merchandise available through the Union Stage anniversary gift shop.

A British singer-songwriter from Kent, Varley has earned an international following among artists including Billy Bragg, Skin of Skunk Anansie, and Adam Duritz. His music combines vivid imagery, emotional depth, surrealism, and expansive storytelling, ranging from the post-apocalyptic perspective of “Dreamland” to the four-minute historical sweep of “Weddings and Wars.” He has also collaborated with Nashville and Los Angeles songwriters, produced “Hit And Run” for Eagle-Eye Cherry, and placed third in Nashville’s International Songwriting Competition from more than 20,000 entries.

Varley has toured extensively across Europe and the United States, performing at venues including Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the Royal Albert Hall and opening for Frank Turner, Valerie June, and The Proclaimers. His music videos have accumulated millions of YouTube views, while his recorded catalog has surpassed 30 million Spotify streams. After signing a worldwide deal with MNRK Music Group in 2023, he has been preparing his seventh studio album.
