JM Stevens
JM Stevens brings an intimate set of original songs to Hank Dietle’s Tavern, drawing on folk, heartland rock, and American roots music. The Austin singer-songwriter is known for road-worn storytelling, memorable melodies, acoustic guitar, harmonica, and an unvarnished vocal style suited to both quiet listening rooms and late-night roadhouses.
Stevens was formerly the frontman of the SXSW favorite Moonlight Towers and now performs from a solo catalog shaped by life on the road. His latest album, *Wish on a River Bridge*, was released in March 2025 on his own Crosstie Records. Recorded largely by Stevens at East Austin Recording, the stripped-down album explores old beginnings, fresh starts, memory, movement, and uncertain futures. Its title refers to a childhood family tradition of holding one’s breath and making a wish while crossing a bridge.
