PURSUIT Artist Talk accompanies an exhibition exploring the intentional pursuit of joy and the choice to continue creating without recognition or the assurance of being seen. PURSUIT brings together artists whose work engages pleasure, curiosity, movement, and self-expression, alongside creative and archival materials documenting the distinctive history of roller skating in America. The exhibition also recognizes the 50th anniversary of Anacostia Skating Pavilion and considers happiness as an ongoing practice rather than a final destination.
