Bluebelt (EP Release Show)

Bluebelt celebrates the release of its debut EP with a live performance at Songbyrd Music House. The six-piece D.C. band builds its original music around layered guitars, keys, bass, drums, vocals, and the creative chemistry developed through performances together. The bill also features Maryland indie-rock band Lookout and University of Maryland-formed group The Overlook.

Bluebelt began when Eric Becker, Ethan Frantz, and Josh Mehr—friends from high school and college—connected with Brett Mundy, West Donnelly, and Holly Teeters through the D.C. music scene. The band released its debut single, “Sonar,” in October 2025, followed by “Aspirin,” the first single from its debut EP. Its live sets emphasize the group’s energy, synergy, and passion for original music.

Lookout is a five-piece Maryland indie-rock band led by vocalist Kate Pass. Their sound ranges from intimate and delicate to loud and forceful, with introspective lyrics, catchy guitar parts, and a driving rhythm section. After releasing their debut EP, *All We Have*, in December 2025, the band played throughout the D.C. and Maryland area and released the single “Cool It” on July 17, 2026.

The Overlook formed at the University of Maryland in 2024. The five-member band features vocalist and guitarist Patrick Scott, bassist Ryan Jaikeran, drummer Aditya Krishnamoorthy, and guitarists Connor Kennedy and Sean Wells. After starting with cover shows in Baltimore-area dive bars, the group developed an original catalog that includes energetic songs such as “The Raven On The Wall” and more wistful material such as “October.” The band has performed at venues including Pearl Street Warehouse in Washington and the Ottobar in Baltimore.
