Alfredo Mojica Group

Alfredo Mojica Group brings a salsa-focused live set to Bossa Bistro + Lounge, led by percussionist and vocalist Alfredo Mojica. A prominent figure in the DC salsa scene, Mojica began performing in Central America at a young age and has worked with artists including Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colón, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, El Gran Combo, and Ray Barretto.

Mojica moves among timbales, congas, and bongos while singing salsa standards, joined by a rotating group of accomplished musicians. The Friday-night performance features salsa, bachata, merengue, and other dance music, with plenty of encouragement for guests to take the floor.
