Friends on the Wall

Friends on the Wall is a group exhibition at Vika Gallery, curated by Miles Johnson, that brings together a vibrant collection of works by Washington, DC artists. The exhibition is organized through color, with artworks presented in red, green, yellow, and blue groupings, exploring how color can shape emotion, memory, connection, and visual dialogue across diverse artistic practices. The show features seven artists with a wide range of media, including acrylic, oil, mixed media, digital collage, yarn, beads, and more.

Featured Artists: Brian Tolbert, Brianna Pippens, Death by Narwhals, MelRoy, Miles Johnson, Shaylin Wallace, and Snow Gawd.

Artworks: Over 30 individual works are on view, with prices ranging from $450 (for small mixed-media pieces by Miles Johnson) to $5,200 (for an acrylic and glitter canvas by MelRoy). Most works are available for acquisition; Brian Tolbert’s “This Life of Sin” is marked Not For Sale. Media include acrylic, oil, gouache, spray paint, mixed media, digital collage printed on aluminum, yarn and beads on monks cloth, and ink on paper, with sizes from 8 x 8 inches to 40 x 48 inches.

Note: The exhibition is curated around color groupings (red, green, yellow, blue) to highlight how palette influences emotional and visual dialogue.
