Artist Talk at Pyramid: Echo/Location—A Window into Process by Imar Lyman
Join the Helen C. Frederick Gallery at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center for an artist talk by Imar Lyman on the closing week of the collaborative exhibition *Echo/Location* with The Kreeger Museum. Lyman will discuss his creative process, including how he incorporates printmaking into sculpture, collage, and painting, as well as his translation of collage aesthetics into glasswork and three-dimensional work. He will also be available to sign copies of the limited-edition physical version of the exhibition catalogue, which features a hand-made screenprinted cover by Lyman and an essay by curator Rhea L. Combs, PhD. The talk offers a window into the artist’s practice, set against the backdrop of his current installation at Kreeger’s Contemporary Gallery in dialogue with works by Sam Gilliam and Frank Stella.
