A Night of Moving Images: Short Films By Local Filmmakers
Rhizome DC and Filament present the third edition of *A Night of Moving Images*, a juried showcase of short films and videos by filmmakers from the DMV and beyond. The program brings together work by local and regional artists, with film prints screened whenever possible, and concludes with a conversation involving selected artists.
The event also features work supported by Rhizome DC’s second microgrant program, which awarded four local artists $200 each toward producing or completing new audiovisual work. Filament is a new screening initiative focused on building an audience for independent and art films in Washington, DC. The event is organized by Alexander Atienza, Rebecca Reynolds, and Layne Garrett.
