Authors & Insights: Kevin Roose and the History of AI

Kevin Roose, award-winning journalist, *Hard Fork* cohost, and bestselling author, appears in the Authors & Insights series for a conversation about the race to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI). He will discuss his new book, *The AGI Chronicles: The Inside Story of the Race to Create an Artificial Superintelligence*, drawing on more than 150 interviews with insiders at OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google DeepMind, along with previously unpublished company documents and research memos.

The event will include an audience question-and-answer session and a reception. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase before and after the program. Authors & Insights presents extended conversations with authors and other thinkers about major issues of the day.
