Authors & Insights: Kevin Roose and the History of AI
Kevin Roose, award-winning New York Times technology journalist, cohost of the tech podcast *Hard Fork*, and bestselling author, appears in the Authors & Insights series to discuss his forthcoming book, *The AGI Chronicles: The Inside Story of the Race to Create an Artificial Superintelligence*. The event examines the trillion-dollar competition to develop artificial general intelligence and the people, companies, and decisions shaping its future.
Roose’s account draws on more than 150 interviews with insiders at OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google DeepMind, along with unpublished company documents and research memos. An audience question-and-answer session and reception will follow the discussion. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase before and after the event.
