YÄCHTLEY CRËW brings its theatrical, nautical-themed Yacht Rock revue to The Birchmere. The seven-piece Southern California band, known as “The Titans of Soft Rock,” recreates soft rock and Top 40 favorites from the late 1970s and early 1980s, encouraging audiences to dress in the style and sing along.
The group formed in 2017, built a following through sold-out local performances, and helped fuel the nationwide Yacht Rock revival. Its debut EP, *Seas The Day*, includes songs such as “Lido Shuffle,” “How Long,” “Steal Away,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” and “Ride Like the Wind,” along with the band’s original “Sex On The Beach.” The song’s video features Mario Lopez and was directed by Myles Erfurth.

Lead vocalist: Ian Ward is the band’s new lead singer. His credits include Broadway appearances and productions of *Rock of Ages*, *RENT*, *American Idiot*, and *Footloose*, as well as *Jesus Christ Superstar* at The Hollywood Bowl with Cynthia Erivo and Adam Lambert. He has also appeared on *American Idol* as a Golden Ticket Winner and has worked with Sir Tim Rice, Idina Menzel, Pat Benatar, and Cyndi Lauper.
Music: The performance centers on the late-1970s and early-1980s soft rock and Top 40 repertoire associated with Yacht Rock, along with songs from the band’s 2023 EP, *Seas The Day*, and fan favorites.
