Visionary Evenings with Fashion Designer Patricia Michaels

Acclaimed fashion designer Patricia Michaels of Taos Pueblo—best known as the first Native American contestant on *Project Runway* (season 11, First Runner-Up, later an All-Star)—will be interviewed by fellow Club member and choreographer Dana Tai Soon Burgess during this Visionary Evenings event. The conversation will explore Michaels’s Native American–inspired haute couture, which has graced New York Fashion Week, the Santa Fe Opera, and museums worldwide. Notably, she recently created a red-carpet gown for actress Tantoo Cardinal, worn at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Martin Scorsese’s *Killers of the Flower Moon*. The evening begins with a cocktail reception, followed by the program, and concludes with a coffee and dessert reception.

When: Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Showtimes: Cocktails from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, program from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, coffee and dessert reception from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Tickets: $20 for Arts Club of Washington Members (pay now online), $30 for Non-Members (buy now). Registration is required; guests must be registered.
