Baltimore Symphony Orchestra: Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet

On Friday, April 2, 2027, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra brings a program of dramatic and virtuosic music to the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Under the baton of Marin Alsop, the orchestra’s Music Director Laureate and the music director of the National Orchestral Institute + Festival, the concert pairs Sergei Prokofiev’s timeless ballet score for Romeo and Juliet with Niccolò Paganini’s heroic First Violin Concerto. Violinist Ning Feng, celebrated internationally for his lyricism and dazzling musicality, joins the orchestra as soloist on the Paganini. Together, Alsop and the BSO draw out the romance and tragedy of Prokofiev’s musical retelling of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, creating an evening filled with sweeping emotion and technical brilliance.

Showtimes: One performance at 8:00 pm.

Tickets: Reserved seating with multiple price levels. Tier 1 is $55 plus a $5 booking fee; Tier 2 is $40 plus a $5 booking fee; Tier 3 is $25 plus a $5 booking fee. Students and youth can purchase tickets for $15 in Tiers 2 and 3.

Venue: Dekelboum Concert Hall, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
