K.S. Shay — Portrait of a Witch Undone - with Ioanna Papari Kosiori — at Union Market

Shay will be joined in conversation by Ioanna Papari Kosiori, a bookseller at Politics & Prose. The novel blends witchcraft, mystery, and romance with a contemporary New England setting. When Ash disappears through the empty frame of a stolen painting, Maeve ventures into the Other Marsh, a haunting realm governed only by the Lady’s rules, where she uncovers secrets about North Shore history, her own failure, and the fate of masterpieces missing for more than thirty years.

K.S. Shay grew up in northeastern Massachusetts, where many streets are named after people accused of witchcraft. Ioanna Papari Kosiori holds a master’s degree in Publishing from George Washington University, has worked as a Subsidiary Rights intern at Crown Publishing Group, received a 2025 We Need Diverse Books Grant for young queer professionals in publishing, publishes her own Substack articles, and co-hosts the Novel Idea Book Club at P&P Union Market.
