Seth Parker Woods, cello Andrew Rosenblum, piano
Cellist Seth Parker Woods and pianist Andrew Rosenblum join forces for an evening of adventurous, deeply expressive chamber music in Washington Performing Arts’ Recitalist Series. The program places contemporary American and international repertoire alongside one of the great Romantic cello sonatas, balancing vivid musical character with sweeping emotional range.
A three-time GRAMMY nominee, Woods is known for inventive, versatile musicianship. Together with Rosenblum, he performs selections from Fazil Say’s *Four Cities*, George Walker’s 1956 Sonata for cello and piano, and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s passionate Cello Sonata.
