Jordie Lane

Fri, Oct 9, 2026at 6:00 PM
2700 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC
Free
Featuring: Jordie Lane

Jordie Lane brings an energetic folk, Americana, and country performance to the River Pavilion at The REACH. The Australian singer-songwriter’s set combines rollicking country-rock and blues with humor, sharp social observations, and more intimate moments of storytelling and connection with the audience. The performance is part of the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage series and will also be available as a livestream.

Lane, who is now based in Nashville, spent part of his childhood traveling with a circus; his parents were a comedian and a clown. Over more than a decade, he has performed at festivals across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, and has shared stages with Billy Bragg, Cat Power, The Moody Blues, Gotye, Old Crow Medicine Show, Marlon Williams, and The Waifs. His 2024 album, *Tropical Depression*, reached No. 1 on Australia’s ARIA Charts and draws on Americana and 1960s-inspired folk. His 2026 album, *Habitual*, was recorded live to analog tape and emphasizes an unfiltered sound shaped by tape hiss, grit, and spontaneous performance. ABC Country Radio has praised Lane’s songwriting as exceptional, while Americana UK has highlighted its sophistication and immediacy.
