Constellations Labor Day Weekend Chamber Music Workshop

Constellations Chamber Concerts is launching its inaugural four-day Chamber Music Workshop over Labor Day weekend 2026, designed specifically for adult amateur musicians with a passion for Classical-era repertoire. Running from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, the workshop will immerse participants in the chamber works of Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with daily coaching sessions, interactive discussion panels, and an informal final-day performance. The faculty is led by the award-winning Telegraph Quartet, currently in residence at the University of Michigan, who will guide individuals and preformed groups of string, wind, and piano players through intensive ensemble study. The workshop takes place at the Potomac Presbyterian Church and the Constellations Music Salon in Potomac, Maryland.

When: Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

Tickets: Tuition is $895, with a $50 non-refundable application fee that is applied as a deposit toward the tuition.

Lineup: Coached by the Telegraph Quartet (award-winning ensemble, resident at the University of Michigan), with additional faculty and discussion panelists to be announced.

Run time: Four days of full-day sessions (9 am–5 pm) plus an informal performance on the final day.

Ages: The workshop is open to adult amateur musicians; no specific age range is stated, but participants should be comfortable with chamber music at an intermediate or advanced amateur level.

Venue: Potomac Presbyterian Church and the Constellations Music Salon, Potomac, Maryland.
