On A Different Plane

On A Different Plane is a solo exhibition of paintings and collages by Sabiha Iqbal, curated by Iza Thomas and Robert Cwiok. The work explores how people and the natural world can adapt, endure, and flourish despite environmental crises and predictions of an increasingly bleak future.

Iqbal uses fluid colors, energetic movement, organic shapes, expressive brushstrokes, and forms that can suggest either natural elements or intertwined human bodies. Her paper collages incorporate newspaper images and headlines as symbols of the world’s problems, layering them with paint to suggest the possibility of a more hopeful future. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on and celebrate the relationship between humanity and the environment.

Showtimes: The exhibition is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
