New Wave Showcase

New Wave Showcase is a stand-up comedy showcase at DC Improv featuring newer performers from the venue’s stage. The show presents a range of comedic styles and offers an opportunity to see emerging local talent in an intimate setting, with proceeds supporting both the comedians and the local comedy venue.

The lineup includes Dubray Kinney, Caitlin McDevitt, Tre Solomon, Paz Soto, Owen Vacheron, and Olivia Bailey. The showcase is expected to run for approximately 90 minutes.

When: Thursday, October 8, 2026

Showtime: 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $14.50 all-in, including service charges. The event is also advertised as a $12 showcase before added charges.

Performers: Caitlin McDevitt co-produces The Living Room Show DC, which has sold out 15 times, and was the runner-up for Magoobys’ 2019 Comedian of the Year. She has opened for Andy Harris, Chris Fairbanks, and Brian Scott McFadden and has performed at the Treefort Comedy Festival.

Performers: Tre Solomon grew up in Atlanta and Texas and served in the U.S. Navy. His material draws on military service, international travel, and his family life.

Performers: Paz Soto is a Bronx-born Puerto Rican comedian and Navy veteran known for sharp wit and personal storytelling. She has performed throughout the Washington area and shared lineups with Mark Curry, Laurie Kilmartin, TK Kirkland, Red Grant, and Steve Hofstetter.

Performers: Owen Vacheron, originally from Massachusetts, is based in Washington, DC, and regularly performs at comedy clubs throughout the DMV. He has opened for Judah Friedlander and Matthew Broussard, among others.
