Pat McGee Band, Freddy Jones Band, & Jackopierce
We Rock Cancer presents an energetic concert featuring the Pat McGee Band, Freddy Jones Band, and Jackopierce. The three established acts bring decades of touring experience, devoted fan bases, heartfelt songwriting, and high-energy live performances to the Capital One Hall stage.
The Pat McGee Band built its following through extensive touring, selling more than 100,000 copies of its first three albums before signing with Warner Bros. Records. The band has performed with artists including the Who, the Allman Brothers, and James Taylor, as well as for President Bill Clinton and U.S. service members through the USO.
Freddy Jones Band is known for melodic rock, emotionally direct lyrics, and a powerful stage presence. Founding member Marty Lloyd, the vocalist and songwriter behind “In a Daydream,” performs alongside longtime bassist Rich Ross, who has also toured with The Samples. Jackopierce, the duo of Jack O’Neill and Cary Pierce, formed in 1988 while studying theater at Southern Methodist University. Over a career spanning 37 years, they have released 10 studio albums, toured three continents, nine countries, and 48 states, and built a following with songs including “Late Shift” and “Vineyard.”
We Rock Cancer is a veteran-founded 501(c)(3) organization focused on skin-cancer awareness and early detection. The organization provides free professional skin-cancer screenings at concerts, music festivals, races, and other outdoor events, while using live music to connect artists with new audiences and create approachable settings for health education.
