Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue bring their high-octane New Orleans funk to the Filene Center at Wolf Trap on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The show features the legendary Mavis Staples, whose career spans decades with classics from The Staple Singers and her latest solo album *Sad and Beautiful World*, as well as the powerhouse country soul duo The War And Treaty, known for songs like “That’s How Love is Made.” The concert is part of the tour supporting Trombone Shorty’s Grammy-nominated 2025 album *Second Line Sunday*.

What to Bring: Wolf Trap allows guests to bring their own food and drinks, including alcohol, for picnics on the lawn or in the park. In-house seat holders must use spill-safe Wolf Trap cups for drinks at their seats and cannot bring food to their seats. Chairs are permitted only at the top of the lawn.
Dining Options: On-site dining includes a gourmet al fresco buffet at Ovations Restaurant (reservations recommended), quick bites and snacks at Plaza Concessions and Meadow Commons Concessions, and the option to bring a picnic.
Parking: Free but limited. Use Exit 15 on Route 267 (Dulles Toll Road), but expect heavy traffic; consider alternate routes like Route 7. A shuttle runs from the McLean Metro station for $5 roundtrip.
Accessibility: ADA parking available upon arrival; contact the National Park Service at 703.255.1820. Sign language interpretation can be arranged with one week notice by emailing [email protected]. CART services require three weeks advance notice. FM Loop amplification headsets are available at no charge; ask an usher.
Note: Wolf Trap is the only DC-area venue that allows you to bring your own food and drinks. Check the venue’s policies for full house rules.
