Documenting the Collection
Documenting the Collection is an intimate Living Room conversation at The Phillips Collection led by Gregory Jallat, the museum’s Collections Care and Visual Resources Manager. The talk explores the museum’s artwork image database and the behind-the-scenes work involved in photographing and documenting nearly 6,000 artworks gathered over more than a century.
Jallat has worked at The Phillips Collection since 2016, first as a Museum Assistant and, since 2021, as Collections Care and Visual Resources Manager. He earned a master’s degree in art history from George Washington University in 2017.
