McLean Project for the Arts | Women Artists of the DMV
McLean Project for the Arts presents "Women Artists of the DMV," a landmark survey of female visual artists from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia region. This is the first exhibition of its kind to bring together such a wide-ranging group of women artists from the DMV, curated by Lenny Campello. The show is part of a larger collaborative initiative led by the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center and supported by the Alper Initiative, with 18 art venues across the area staging simultaneous exhibitions. Each venue presents a selection of artists; the works shown at McLean Project for the Arts feature a distinct roster of artists, listed below. The exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the diverse practices and perspectives of women artists working in the region today.
