Corey Arceneaux & the Zydeco Hot Peppers
Corey Arceneaux and the Zydeco Hot Peppers bring Southwest Louisiana’s zydeco tradition to Hank Dietle’s Tavern for an energetic evening of accordion-led music, Creole rhythms, and dance-floor grooves. Louisiana native Corey Arceneaux is an acclaimed accordionist and bandleader whose style draws on Clifton Chenier and Buckwheat Zydeco, the latter of whom was also his mentor and friend. With five studio albums and decades of international touring, Arceneaux delivers a high-energy performance grounded in Louisiana roots.
Now based in Virginia, Arceneaux is joined by an experienced regional lineup: Ben Holmes on drums, Doug Bell on guitar, Gene Monroe on bass, and Pat Clark on frottoir. Together, they combine zydeco, blues, rock, New Orleans traditions, and dancehall spirit for a full-scale Louisiana-style party.
