Grace Little
Grace Little, known by her stage name Amazin’ Grace, brings her story of perseverance and vocal versatility to the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage on July 16, 2026. Born in Jersey City and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Grace grew up in a musical household with six siblings, inspired by her mother’s gospel singing and her father’s church vocals. She was captivated by Natalie Cole’s “Joey” as a child and at age twelve won the adult category at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. After meeting a mentor at Trenton Central High School, she began voice lessons, performed with a four-piece band at thirteen, and entered theater at seventeen. Signed with a management company, she toured internationally with productions of *The Wiz*, *Dream Girls* (playing Effie, the role originated by Jennifer Holliday), and *Oh Calcutta*. Later, she caught the attention of legendary producer Leon Huff at a private party and recorded the song “The Line Dance” for Philadelphia International Records, leading to a full-length album titled *Amazin’ Grace*. On that release she sang with the Dells on “Somebody Gotta Move,” which became an anthem in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas. Grace’s career has been driven by faith and perseverance, qualities that shine through in her performances.
