CEREMONY
Ceremony brings its California-rooted hardcore to the Black Cat with Poison Ruïn and Dry Socket. After more than two decades together, the band continues to evolve without losing its punk foundation. The performance highlights Ceremony’s seventh album, *Tell Me Your Dream*, a ten-song release that ranges from forceful hardcore to darker post-punk while addressing the political, economic, and spiritual uncertainty of the present.
The current Ceremony lineup features vocalist Ross Farrar, guitarist and keyboardist Anthony Anzaldo, guitarist Andy Nelson, bassist Justin Davis, and drummer Jake Casarotti. Produced by John Reis, the album draws on the anarcho-punk influence of Discharge, Crass, and related bands while representing a broad, mature phase in Ceremony’s development.
