Doom Gong

Doom Gong brings its Louisville-born “Denim Psych” to Pearl Street Warehouse, blending psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, progressive rock, bedroom pop, lo-fi, and contemporary classical influences into an eclectic, theatrical sound. Formed in 2022 by seven music-school graduates, the band has released three rock-opera-inspired studio albums—*Doom Gong*, *Dream Behemoth*, and *MEGAGONG*—as well as the live album *Live at the Whirling Tiger*.

Washington, DC trio The Duskwhales opens the show with its harmony-rich psychedelic darkwave. Their music combines pulsing synthesizers, layered vocals, and dramatic arrangements shaped by influences from 1960s psychedelia and new wave.

Doom Gong: The band has performed with Amyl and the Sniffers, The Black Angels, BADBADNOTGOOD, Allah Las, King Buffalo, Bass Drum of Death, Death Valley Girls, and other national acts. Its festival appearances include Treefort Music Fest, Sled Island, Offbeat Music Fest, Purple City Music Festival, Big Stomp, Back Alley Ballyhoo, Swampfest, Expansion Psychedelic Festival, Moonshiners Ball, and Jorts Fest. The group also notes plans for a European tour in summer 2026 and six additional albums in development.

The Duskwhales: The Washington, DC trio consists of Seth Flynn on guitar and vocals, Brian Majewski on keys and vocals, and Chris Baker on drums and vocals. Formed in 2010, the group has supported acts including Car Seat Headrest, Frankie Cosmos, Killer Queen, and Jesse McCartney. Its latest album, *Strawflower Lane*, was released in 2024.
