Doom Gong

Doom Gong is a Louisville, Kentucky, band formed in 2022 by seven music-school enthusiasts. The group describes its sound as “Denim Psych,” blending psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, progressive rock, bedroom pop, lo-fi, contemporary classical music, and an unmistakable denim-themed aesthetic.

In just three years, Doom Gong has released three rock-opera-style studio albums—*DOOM GONG*, *Dream Behemoth*, and *MEGAGONG*—along with the live album *Live at the Whirling Tiger*. Known for enigmatic, seamless live performances, the band has shared bills with Amyl and the Sniffers, The Black Angels, BADBADNOTGOOD, Allah Las, King Buffalo, Bass Drum of Death, Death Valley Girls, and Holy Wave. Its festival appearances include Treefort Music Fest, Sled Island, Offbeat Music Fest, Purple City Music Festival, Big Stomp, Back Alley Ballyhoo, Swampfest, Expansion Psychedelic Festival, Moonshiners Ball, and Jorts Fest. The band also has six additional albums in development and plans to tour Europe in summer 2026 before expanding to other parts of the world.
