Benjie Porecki - Hammond B-3 Week
Benjie Porecki brings the soulful sound of the Hammond B-3 to Blues Alley for Hammond B-3 Organ Week. Joined by drummer Mark Prince and electric bassist Michael Bowie, Porecki leads a trio through jazz, blues, funk, and gospel shaped by Hammond legends including Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Billy Preston, and The Meters. The performance promises deep grooves, fiery improvisation, and lively musical chemistry.
Porecki is known for playing B-3 organ, piano, and guitar, with influences spanning jazz, blues, funk, country, reggae, and R&B. He has released six solo albums, worked with artists including Carlos Santana, Chaka Khan, and Patti LaBelle, and is currently developing his project “All that Matters.”
