On Friday, August 7, 2026, Sixth & I Historic Synagogue will host an inclusive Shabbat service that blends contemporary and traditional elements. Led by Rabbi Jenna Shaw and guest Rabbi Jason Kimelman-Block, the service features uplifting music and a thought-provoking sermon. The evening begins with a happy hour at 6:00 pm, followed by the service at 7:00 pm. This event is designed to welcome Shabbat newcomers as well as those seeking an unexpected way to wind down the week.

When: Friday, August 7, 2026.
Showtimes: 6:00 pm – Happy Hour (21+); 7:00 pm – Service.
Tickets: Free, but registration is required. Register online.
Lineup: Rabbi Jenna Shaw, Sixth & I’s musicians, and guest Rabbi Jason Kimelman-Block, who will co-lead the congregation’s 5787 High Holiday services.
Run time: Approximately one hour for the service, with a one-hour pre-service happy hour.
Ages: The happy hour is for ages 21 and over; the service itself is open to all ages.
Venue: Sixth & I Historic Synagogue.
Note: Doors open at 6:00 pm. The happy hour is a pre-service social gathering for those 21 and older.
