SPOONFED (EP RELEASE SHOW)
Spoonfed brings its Washington, D.C. indie-rock sound to Songbyrd Music House for a release-show performance with The Montaines and Aidan Leclaire. The band combines 1990s grunge, early-2000s alternative rock, and modern funk, with dark yet uplifting melodies, shifting rhythms, moody lyrics, and guitar-driven energy. The show follows the September 16 release of Spoonfed’s debut EP.
Formed in a Charlottesville, Virginia, house basement in 2021, Spoonfed developed from late-night jam sessions into an emerging DMV band. The group features Will Sevy on vocals and guitar, Kevin Cox on bass, and Kieran O’Dell on vocals and drums. Their set is expected to range from slow-burning songs such as “Helicopter” to newer, more pop-oriented material.
