Made-In-Studio: Mandala Magic
Made-In-Studio: Mandala Magic is a restorative, approachable workshop exploring the ancient tradition of mandala making through contemporary, playful exercises. Participants will work with shapes, patterns, symmetry, and visual balance while using the process to slow their breathing, relax, and develop a personal intention connected to joy, calm, purpose, or meaning.
Riverworks Associate Artist Suzanne Wright, who specializes in creativity-and-wellbeing practices, will guide three mandala-making experiences. Participants will create an “everyday mandala” from ordinary objects such as paper clips, Post-it notes, and bottle caps; arrange an “earth mandala” from twigs, leaves, and petals gathered at Riverworks; and make a personal mandala talisman incorporating their own symbolism. All materials are supplied, and no previous art experience is needed.
