Ruthie and the Wranglers
Ruthie and the Wranglers bring an energetic blend of twang, honky-tonk, Americana, and roots music to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. Their repertoire ranges from original country songs and whiskey-soaked ballads to retro favorites and lively surf instrumentals, with driving rhythms, clever lyrics, and prominent vocal harmonies.
A fixture of the Washington, D.C., roots scene for more than 30 years, the band has recorded, toured, and received Americana and roots-radio airplay. Ruthie and the Wranglers have released seven albums, including *All Wrangled Up*, a collection drawn from their earlier recordings. The group has earned more than 30 WAMMIE awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Country/Duo Group honors, and Billboard has praised the band’s songwriting.
