Dennis Jay & Lonesome Town

Dennis Jay & Lonesome Town bring a country and Americana performance to Hank Dietle’s Tavern, led by Texas singer-songwriter Dennis Jay and a five-piece backing band. Jay has shared bills with artists including Steve Earle, Joe Ely, Dale Watson, Railroad Earth, Tex Rubinowitz, Nokie Edwards of the Ventures, and Tiff Merritt.

Jay has released two albums and an EP produced by Grammy-winning producer Lloyd Maines. Their first collaboration, *Western & Country*, included “A Cowboy Tune,” which received a 2018 Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists. Jay’s current release, *Cowboy Rhythm*, features Maines on steel guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, and bass, along with Dennis Ludiker of Asleep at the Wheel on fiddle and mandolin. The album reached the top 10 of the Airplay Direct and Roots Music Report charts and peaked at No. 72 on the Americana Music Association chart.
