Dennis Jay & Lonesome Town bring an evening of country and western music to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. Texas singer-songwriter Dennis Jay, from La Vernia, Texas, has shared bills with artists including Tex Rubinowitz, Steve Earle, Nokie Edwards of the Ventures, Joe Ely, Railroad Earth, Tiff Merritt, and Dale Watson.
Dennis has recorded two albums and an EP with Grammy-winning producer Lloyd Maines, known for his work with The Chicks. Their first album together, *Western & Country*, includes “A Cowboy Tune,” which received a 2018 Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists. Dennis’s recordings include *Bluebonnet Days in Texas*, also released in a limited-edition vinyl pressing, and *Cowboy Rhythm*. The latter features Maines on steel guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, and bass, with Dennis Ludiker of Asleep At The Wheel on fiddle and mandolin. *Cowboy Rhythm* reached the top 10 on the Airplay Direct and Roots Music Report charts and peaked at number 72 on the Americana Music Association chart.
