Free Guided Tour of The Arts Club
The Arts Club of Washington offers a docent-led tour of its historic clubhouse at the National Register-listed address it has occupied since 1916. The visit explores the club’s history, activities, and notable members, along with the stories of distinguished residents of the two mansions now occupied by the organization, including former President James Monroe and First Lady Elizabeth Monroe, as well as Civil War General Robert MacFeely. The tour is open to the public.
The tour is followed by the Arts Club’s Friday Noon Concert series, which features musicians on the club’s historic stage. Concert attendance requires a separate RSVP.
