Immersive Media Design Project Showcase (The Clarice)

The Immersive Media Design Project Showcase presents projects created through the University of Maryland’s New Works Incubator, a nine-week summer development program for students from across UMD. The program supports individual creators and teams as they investigate emerging forms of immersive media and develop work based on their own interests and initiative.

The showcase is part of NextNOW Fest, The Clarice’s annual, multi-day arts festival featuring performances and other creative experiences by artists from around the country and the University of Maryland community. The festival is open to the general public and is part of UMD’s Arts for All initiative.

When: Thursday, September 10, 2026, and Friday, September 11, 2026

Accessibility: The Clarice provides wheelchair-accessible seating, size-inclusive seating, large-print programs, assisted-listening devices, adult- and child-friendly sensory packs, and quiet spaces upon request. ASL interpretation, audio description, and captioning are available for select events or by patron request at least six weeks in advance.
