Reframing Care is a monthly program at The Phillips Collection for people living with dementia and their care partners. In a supportive museum setting, specially trained museum educators use art engagement to encourage conversation, social connection, and creative expression while offering positive, hopeful, and practical ways to think about dementia. Each session focuses on a different artwork and combines a guided gallery discussion with hands-on art making.

When: Monday, August 24, 2026

Showtimes: The program begins at 1 p.m. and runs from 1–3 p.m.

Venue: The Phillips Collection

Format: In person

Program: Each session includes a gallery discussion centered on a selected work of art, time to connect with other participants, and a hands-on art-making activity.

Audience: Individuals living with dementia and their care partners

Arrival: Please arrive five minutes before the 1 p.m. start time for check-in.

Schedule: Reframing Care is generally held on the fourth Monday of each month, except when a holiday affects the schedule.
