Make+Take: Tile Linocut

Wed, Jul 15, 2026at 7:00 PM
4318 Gallatin Street, Hyattsville, MD
$46.00

This evening workshop in the Printmaking Studio offers a focused, hands-on introduction to linocut carving and hand printing, with a playful twist: participants will create their own repeating tiled pattern. The session is designed for absolute beginners, so no prior experience is required. Attendees choose from pre-drawn square designs etched into soft linoleum blocks, carve their own motif, and then print by hand to produce a repeating pattern. All materials are included, and the workshop is led by Dr. Pamela Harris Lawton, a distinguished printmaker and art educator. The class has reached capacity, but a waitlist is available.

When: Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Showtimes: Single session; doors likely open shortly before 7:00 pm.
Tickets: $46.00. This workshop is currently sold out. To join a waitlist, email your name and the class name to the organizer.
