The Thrills

The Thrills bring a roots-oriented, hard-driving rock ’n’ roll show to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. Led by singer-songwriter David Kitchen, the band blends original material, strong musicianship, and the energy of classic American rock with the experience of four longtime fixtures of the Washington-area music scene.

The lineup features Andy Rutherford’s guitar, slide guitar, and vocals; Johnny Combs on bass; and Brian Alpert on drums and vocals. Together, the members bring decades of work with regional and touring acts, including The Thrillbillys, Ruthie and the Wranglers, Little Pink, Evan Johns and the H-Bombs, Tex Rubinowitz, Pink and Black, Cowboy Jazz, The Assassins, Doc Scantlin’s Imperial Palms Orchestra, and Danny Gatton. Several members are WAMMIE Award winners.
