Jewish Page Turners: A Book Club

Jewish Page Turners is a monthly book club at Sixth & I in which participants read a book recommended by the rabbis, exchange reflections, and explore how the book connects with their personal experiences of Judaism and spirituality. The October selection is Rabbi Sharon Brous’s *The Amen Effect: Ancient Wisdom to Mend Our Broken Hearts and World*, which considers how people can overcome loneliness and isolation by strengthening relationships, coming together, and building community.

The organizers encourage attendees to order the book through Politics and Prose Bookstore. Future selections mentioned on the page include *God is Here: Reimagining the Divine* by Toba Spitzer and *Bad Jews: A History of American Jewish Politics and Identities* by Emily Tamkin.
