Extraordinary Cinema: Forrest Gump
This free outdoor screening presents *Forrest Gump*, the Oscar-winning story of a kindhearted man whose unassuming life carries him into pivotal moments of 20th-century American history. As Forrest’s extraordinary journey unfolds, he remains devoted to Jenny, his childhood love, whose own path through the social upheaval of the 1960s and 1970s is considerably more difficult.
The film won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Tom Hanks. The screening takes place on the REACH Video Wall as part of the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage outdoor film series.
