Hyattsville Figure Drawing Group Meetup

The Hyattsville Figure Drawing Group Meetup is a relaxed, drop-in life-drawing session for artists of all experience levels. The Tuesday meeting features a live nude model, with brief warm-up poses followed by one sustained long pose, making it suitable for practicing observation, proportion, gesture, and extended drawing.

The group also holds Saturday sessions with clothed or costumed models and shorter poses. Registration is not required, and participants should bring their own drawing materials; chairs and drawing boards are available.

When: Tuesday, September 15, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Showtimes: Tuesday sessions meet weekly from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and use a nude model with a long sustained pose. The group also meets on the third Saturday of each month from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for clothed or costumed-model sessions featuring multiple short poses ranging from 2 to 25 minutes.

Tickets: $20 per session; a five-session punch card costs $75. Pyramid Atlantic members pay $15 per session.

Lineup: A live model is featured at every session. Tuesday meetings use a nude model, while third-Saturday meetings use a clothed or costumed model.

Ages: Tuesday nude-model sessions are restricted to adults 18 and older. Saturday clothed or costumed-model sessions are open to all ages.

Format: Drop-in drawing sessions with no advance registration required. All skill levels are welcome.
