Irene Tu

Irene Tu returns to DC Improv following sold-out appearances there in 2023 and 2025. The Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer is known for her sharp, relaxed delivery and offbeat observations, as well as her album *We’re Done Now*, Netflix’s “Introducing” showcase, and appearances across television, streaming, festivals, and viral comedy clips.

Her first album, *We’re Done Now*, debuted at number one on the iTunes comedy charts in March 2022. Tu has appeared at the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival, including its “Introducing” showcase, and her stand-up feature became the most-watched reel on Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Instagram page, surpassing 2.7 million views. She was named one of Netflix’s “Introducing” comics in 2022, and the Los Angeles Times selected her 2024 show as one of the funniest of the year. She has also opened for Taylor Tomlinson, Ronny Chieng, and Patton Oswalt.
