Parda Ensemble

Parda Ensemble brings together Persian classical and bluegrass traditions in a performance inspired by the 12th-century Sufi poem *The Conference of the Birds*, exploring themes of freedom, flight, and oneness. The ensemble features Roxana Sarrafi, Asadali Pyarali Bandeali, Hasan Imam Hamdani, and Maximilian Jacobs, along with contributing guest artists. Their set includes a live performance of an original score composed for *Conference of the Moths*, an award-winning short animation directed by Samhita Sunya and featuring a special guest voiceover by Rabih Alameddine, winner of the 2025 National Book Award for Fiction.
