STRANGE BOUTIQUE
Strange Boutique, a beloved fixture of the Washington, D.C. post-punk and gothic rock scene from the late 1980s through early 1990s, returns to their hometown for a concert at Black Cat. The band—founded by vocalist Monica Richards, guitarist Dennis Kane, and bassist Steve Willett, with DC veteran Gregg Hudson now on drums—has experienced a remarkable resurgence after their song "Drown" went viral, introducing millions to their ethereal, guitar-driven sound. Their new album, *Let the Lonely Heart Sing*, has drawn acclaim for blending gothic romanticism with intricate guitar lines and Richards' haunting, warm vocals. The show also features support from CEMETARY SEX and DJ SARA VOX.
