Gallery Talk: The Sacred Art of Ayesha Kamal
Meet artist Ayesha Kamal for a gallery conversation about *Beyond Words: The Sacred Art of Ayesha Kamal*. The talk explores how Kamal draws on centuries of Islamic artistic tradition, Qur’anic verses, and the Beautiful Names of Allah to create luminous, large-scale paintings in which contemporary calligraphy turns sacred text into immersive visual art.
Umar John, the exhibition’s curator, will be joined by Dr. Sajid Tarar, chairman of Muslims of America, and Dr. Jasdip Singh Jesse, chairman of Sikhs of America. Together, they will discuss the exhibition’s themes of faith, beauty, cultural heritage, and shared humanity.
