Negative Space Explorations
Motormouth presents “Negative Space Explorations,” a two-part guided workshop at Rhizome DC focused on Japanese paper marbling and block printing. Through hands-on printmaking processes, participants will explore how attention can be directed toward empty, overlooked, or otherwise “negative” space.
The workshop takes place in a mask-required setting. High-quality masks will be provided, and the event space will use two air purifiers, with windows potentially open. Participants are asked to test before attending and stay home if they have been exposed or feel unwell.
When: Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Showtimes: The workshop begins at 4:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM.
Tickets: $15–$55. Free tickets may be available by request for people for whom the cost is a barrier.
